This year’s Summer Bingo Challenge was the third challenge that 815 Outside has organized. The goal of these challenges is to encourage participants to get outside, enjoy their community, and maybe learn about some local gems along the way! To complete the challenge, participants could either complete six activities to finish a line of bingo, or they could complete all 36 activities on the bingo card.

The Challenge ended on September 6th, and we are so excited to share some of the highlights with you! Even if you did not complete the challenge, be sure to continue tagging us with the hashtag #815outside if you post any photos that you took outside this summer!

Who Participated?

  • 96 people signed up for the Challenge, though many more family members, friends, and furry companions joined in on the fun
  • 20 people completed a line of Bingo
  • 6 people completed all 36 Bingo activities

Participant highlights:

“Had a great time completing all of these with my Grandson this summer!”

*

“I enjoy doing this with my family! We have found lots of cool things we didn’t know about & I enjoyed learning about the stewardship day (a cool thing for kids to volunteer for, and most schools will accept this for community service hours, bonus).”

*

“Cedar Cliffs is a hidden gem! The wildflowers were gorgeous.”

Bingo Prizes!

We are so grateful to our sponsors, including Rocktown Adventures, Kegel’s Bicycle Store, Runner’s Image, 815 Yoga, and Art Deli for each donating a $25 gift card to their business for us to raffle off to 5 lucky winners who completed a line of bingo. Anyone who completed all 36 bingo activities was entered in a raffle to win our grand prize, which consisted of materials that were generously donated by our partner organizations and had a $400+ dollar value!

And the winners are…

6 square bingo winners: Cathy Huber, Lena Verkuilen, James Richter, Quinton Richter, and Rebecca Sass
