This 8/15, join 815 Outside for a hike along the Rock River Recreation trail to view some of the incredible sculptures and public art displays Rockford has to offer! We will meet at the YMCA of Rock River Valley and head north to see some of Rockford’s most famous art pieces.

This walk will be on a paved asphalt trail and leased pets are welcome!

Join us for an afternoon hike through Seward Bluffs Forest Preserve! We will be walking through the forest on a mixture of paved surface and compacted dirt trails. This preserve is very hilly, and there may be some stairs as well.

Join us for a hike at Howard Coleman Hall Creek Preserve! We will hike 2-3 miles on uneven trails.

Join us for a hike through Kishwaukee Gorge North Forest Preserve! We will walk 1.5 – 2 miles along mostly flat, wide trails. There is a set of stairs leading to the river that may be difficult for some participants. The stairs are an optional excursion, and everyone will have the option to wait at the top while others descend the stairs.

Join us for a morning walk through Hononegah Forest Preserve! We will hike about 2 miles through mostly forest areas along grassy and dirt trails. There will be light elevation changes, and the trail may be uneven in some areas.

Leashed dogs are allowed at Hononegah Forest Preserve.
