This is part of our City Hiking Series where we explore our beautiful city one step at a time!
Wester Park is located across the street from Burpee Museum. Park on the street for free and meet us by the gazebo in Wester Park. From there, we’ll cross the street and visit the pedestrian suspension bridge that is located behind the Burpee Museum of Natural History. We’ll take that bridge toward downtown and do a quick two-to-three-mile loop by the Rock River, beautiful buildings, murals and mosaics.
P.S. Wester is spelled W-E-S-T-E-R but is misspelled on the sign. Also, there are no bathrooms at this park so please “go before you go.”
P. P.S. We will send out an email with hike information the day before the hike. The website currently does not send an immediate confirmation to your RSVP and we are trying to fix that.
