How do you celebrate the middle of the week? By joining your 815 Outside pals for a three-mile morning hike at Colored Sands Forest Preserve, of course! Meet us in the parking lot at Colored Sands. We’ll have a quick info session then hike along the trails throughout Colored Sands and, if it’s open, into Sugar River Alder. The level of difficulty for this hike is moderate and there are some fairly steep hills. Please bundle up, make sure you’re hydrated and are wearing sturdy, warm shoes. This hike is free and open to the public and registration is required.
